Job description

Job Title: Family Hub Coach

Location: Newcastle Family Hub, ST5 6DH

Pay: £18.61 per hour

Contract: 1 year contract with a view to be extended


We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Financial Wellbeing Coach to support vulnerable households across Staffordshire. This role involves providing emergency financial support, delivering workshops, and ensuring families can access the resources they need to improve their financial stability.


Please note: Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle to be considered for this role.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide emergency drop-in support to vulnerable households, offering financial wellbeing guidance.
  2. Deliver face-to-face workshops in family hubs and within the community on budgeting and financial wellbeing.
  3. Identify those most in need and assist them in accessing their financial entitlements.
  4. Map out available local and national support services and maintain an up-to-date resource database.
  5. Work closely with vulnerable individuals, ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  1. Experience working with vulnerable individuals and a strong understanding of safeguarding.
  2. A background in teaching, work coaching, financial wellbeing, or family support.
  3. Excellent communication and organisational skills to engage with families and professionals.
  4. The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
