Senior Commercial Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Commercial Manager to join our dynamic Business Enablement team. This is a key role to ensure Trustmarque provides commercial contractual support to Sales and wider business stakeholders.

The Senior Commercial Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day commercial activities and action requests for contractual support as they arise, including NDA, MSA / PSA, SOW, etc. creation, review, and client negotiation. This will include, but not be limited to, support for bids and contracts made under the UK public sector frameworks that Trustmarque transacts through. The successful candidate will have a background in contract management, process optimisation, and preferably an understanding of UK public sector frameworks relevant to Trustmarque.

What you’ll be doing:

  1. Act as a subject matter expert with regards to commercial contractual requirements.
  2. Mitigate through Trustmarque potential commitments and liabilities within the standard Commercial guidelines and business requirements.
  3. Collaborate with teams and departments across Trustmarque to enable deals, supporting Sales and where required be client-facing to support contractual and deal negotiations.
  4. Contribute to the submission of winning bids for framework applications and call-off ITTs.
  5. Act as an authorised signatory according to the Commercial team authority level.
  6. Manage contractual paperwork and consult with all necessary relevant departments (e.g. commercial, marketing, sales).
  7. Ensure that contracts adhere to Trustmarque standards and/or framework conditions and quality standards.
  8. Ensure that all executed contracts are added to and maintained within the central Commercial workspace (SharePoint).
  9. Assess and mitigate risks associated with contractual artifacts and deals.

Here's what we're looking for:

  1. 5+ years in a client facing Commercial role within Information Technology, or a related field, preferably within a Partner or Vendor organisation.
  2. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and accuracy are critical.
  3. Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Knowledge of UK public sector frameworks (e.g. Crown Commercial Services, NHS Shared Business Services and KCS Procurement Services frameworks).
  5. Proven experience in commercial and contractual creation and review.
  6. Familiarity with the IT technologies sold by Trustmarque (including Microsoft and Cisco).
  7. Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, SharePoint).
