As a Sales Consultant at New Zealand Red Cross (NZRC), you'll play a key role in driving our business forward by managing multiple B2B client accounts and uncovering new business opportunities, while out in the field. In this role, we are looking for someone who has the capacity to:

  • Meet and exceed the target daily sales call frequency as directed by the Manager Business Development typically to achieve the following: − Minimum of 30 existing clients a week − Minimum of 16 new prospects a week
  • Develop and maintain strong key customer relationships at all levels in the customer organisations within oversight and territory accounts
  • Monitor key client sales progression and implement agreed strategies to develop these accounts further and complete sales reports as required by using CRM database
  • Manage the New Zealand Red Cross client relationship for Territory accounts, while supporting the relationship for all National Accounts. Provide information, as requested, to assist the Manager Business Development with business planning, including budgets, sales targets, call cycles etc.
  • Appropriately and professionally advise clients in the correct use of the products from a practical and health & safety perspective and demonstrate a thorough understanding to clients of the practical implementation of the products
  • Liaise with New Zealand Red Cross Training and Administration team and the Products team as required on activities such as order taking and quotations to ensure correct information is provided as soon as practically possible
  • Work with the Team Leader Products to gain a full understanding of the products within your portfolio

To be successful you will have:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a face-to-face sales and/or account manager role dealing with both products and services
  • Ability to work independently, proactively with the drive and resilience required to carry out cold calling
  • Analytical, strategic thinking and experience in development and implementation of call cycles and prospecting
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills
  • Attention to detail and completion of an appropriate amount of work and sales processing tasks
  • Intellectual composure required to confidently converse and build rapport with senior management and CEOs
  • Strong computing skills; Microsoft Office suite, CRM and Internet, ability to learn to use New Zealand Red Cross applications
  • A full and clean New Zealand Drivers Licence
