Waking Night Support Worker (Young people)

Veritas Education are looking to experienced Residential Support Worker for an immediate full time position in Preston.

Pay: £13.68 - £14.50

Location: PRESTON/BAMBER BRIDGE/BLACKBURN

Type: Permanent - Full Time

Hours: 40 hours per week (21:00pm - 8:00am)

Veritas Education provide residential services for young people. The young people we care for often require a high level of support to assist with difficulties they may have from self-harming, behaviour, and emotional difficulties. Our aim is to support the young people using a therapeutic approach to help them achieve their individual goals, in preparation for transition to adult life.

Our homes are always a hub of activity and energy where the young people can feel safe, and our staff enjoy coming to work. Your role will involve working with our young people to promote independence through support with education, household tasks and general life skills.

Key skills & Experience:

1. SEN experience (Autism, Challenging behaviour, life skills, personal care)
2. Strong behaviour management
3. One to one and small group work
4. Professional manner
5. Enthusiasm and friendly approach
6. Personal Care
7. Comprehensive induction and commitment to on-going training
