Assistant Maintenance Manager - Kensington

Bespoke Britannia are looking for an experienced, professional & 'hands-on' Assistant Maintenance Manager. You will be working directly for our client, overseeing all aspects of running and maintaining their main UK residence.

Our client, a distinguished private family office based in Kensington, is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Assistant Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep and efficient operation of their exclusive residence. This role requires a professional with a deep understanding of luxury property maintenance, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage a broad range of tasks with the utmost discretion and precision.

The Assistant Maintenance Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless functioning and pristine condition of the residence and its facilities. This position demands a meticulous professional who can anticipate and address maintenance needs, coordinate with external contractors, and uphold the highest standards of care and confidentiality.

JOB ROLE

  1. Oversee all maintenance activities for the residence, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
  2. Ensure the smooth operation of all household systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, security systems, water pumps, air conditioning and more.
  3. Manage relationships with external service providers, ensuring quality service and cost-efficiency, including maintenance contracts.
  4. Implement and monitor health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe environment for all residents and staff.
  5. Supervise outside contractors whilst on site, and have a good understanding of contractual agreements.
  6. Overall maintenance and upkeep of the building's infrastructure and exterior.
  7. Prioritise and undertake reactive repairs, communicating with colleagues throughout.
  8. Undertake planned preventative maintenance tasks and compliance checks.
  9. Assist with 'out of hours' emergency call outs every other weekend.

PACKAGE

  • Salary £50,000pa DOE
  • 5 days per week - 50 hours. You will be required to be on call every other weekend to assist with any issues should they arise.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 5 years in a senior maintenance role, ideally within luxury residential properties or high-end hospitality sectors.
  • Extensive knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and security systems.
  • This would suit someone from a 5* hotel maintenance or a high end multi-property portfolio background.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing teams and contractors.
