Fleet Manager

Our client runs a fleet of over 150 vehicles throughout Northern Ireland and is currently recruiting a Fleet Manager to take responsibility for ensuring the fleet is well-maintained, presentable, and cost-effectively managed. Reporting to the Company Directors and managing a Fleet Coordinator / Administrator, the successful candidate will liaise with drivers to ensure operational needs are met while maintaining compliance with safety and maintenance standards. This role will require travel throughout Northern Ireland and is primarily an 'on the road' position. Paperwork & administration (1 day per week) can be carried out from any one of three company bases.

Knowledge, skills, and experience required:

• 3-5 years of experience in fleet management or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of fleet management software and vehicle maintenance systems.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to manage drivers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to analyse fleet operations and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Organisation: Ability to prioritise tasks, manage schedules, and maintain detailed records.
• Holds a full UK Driving License.
• Be able to demonstrate reliability, flexibility, and adaptability.
• Ability to work on own initiative, work accurately under pressure.
• Excellent computer knowledge including MS Office.
• Strong planning & communication skills.
• The ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
