Agriculture Study Programme Manager

Location: Bicton College

Salary: £29,988 - £35,241 FTE (SPM1 - SPM4 with Market Premium included)

Terms & Conditions: Full time (37 hours/52 weeks), Teaching Contract

About the role

Bicton College is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable individual to manage all aspects of our Level 1 Agriculture Study Programme, ensuring an enriching, safe, and supportive experience that maximises learning outcomes for all students. The Agriculture Study Programme Manager will be responsible for delivering lectures, practical workshops, and field-based instruction across various levels of agricultural study. This role requires managing student progression, ensuring compliance with relevant educational standards, and fostering a positive learning environment. The position offers a mix of theoretical instruction and hands-on training using our farm and agricultural facilities.

Skills & Experience

  1. A minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in the agriculture sector.
  2. Proven experience in teaching, training, or mentoring in an agricultural context.
  3. A full teaching qualification, such as PGCE, DET, or Certificate of Education, or a commitment to obtain one within three years of appointment.
  4. Relevant industry-recognised qualifications in agriculture or related fields.

Hours of work

This role is on a full time basis; 37 hours per week.
