We are working with one of the UK's leading investors across a broad range of strategies in the alternative investment space. They have assets in excess of £12bn and this is growing rapidly. It has operated for over 30 years, and has been one of the great UK success stories since the credit crisis. They've backed more than 20 high growth companies in the last 12 months alone.

We are working specifically with their Venture Team where their investment focus targets late Seed to Series B investments in Enterprise Software and Deeptech opportunities, deploying between £500k and £5m per deal.

They are looking to bolster their team with an Investment Manager who will take a leading role on their Venture Capital transactions. You will be supporting and leading on all aspects of the transaction process; from origination, deal structuring, negotiation, and execution, through to portfolio management and working with the businesses post-acquisition. They are looking for self-starters who will hit the ground running.

What the job involves

• Work on all aspects of the transaction process from origination, deal structuring, negotiation, execution, and portfolio management
• Involvement with all of the investment products across the group, and assist in fundraising when required
• Make investment decisions with a high degree of autonomy, and assist other senior team members across the vehicle
• Assist Directors and other senior members of the investment team across a number of vehicles.

Who we are looking for

• Full time investment experience in Venture Capital is essential
• Additional experience in a highly related field like corporate finance, investment banking or operational work in a startup would be advantageous
• Experience working with B2B SaaS and ability to assess the quality of the unit economics
• Highly analytical toolkit
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and interpersonal skills
• Top academics from a leading institution
