This post is full time, working 35 hours per week and is fixed term until 30 April 2026.

With over 20,000 students, the University of Westminster has a diverse student body and is committed to promoting effective and efficient support. The University has over 3,500 students across its four sites who have declared a disability. We seek to appoint a Disability Adviser to join our student Disability Learning Support service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Advise and support applicants and students with a range of disabilities and long-term health conditions.
  2. Provide recommendations for reasonable adjustments in line with the Equality Act 2010.
  3. Raise awareness of the needs of students with disabilities and deliver associated training workshops.
  4. Provide ongoing specialist support and liaise with colleagues across different schools, professional services, and other central University services.

The post holder will have sound knowledge and experience of working with a range of physical disabilities, long-term health conditions, mental health and autistic spectrum conditions, and experience in implementing reasonable adjustments within an education setting.

The post holder will be expected to work onsite two days per week at Marylebone and Harrow Campuses.
