The Role:
We’re looking for a hungry, hands-on Lead AI Developer to drive the creation of next-gen AI systems for customer engagement across e-mail, SMS, WhatsApp and phone. You’ll be responsible for building, optimising, and leading a small but mighty 3-person dev team. Key Responsibilities:
- AI Development: Lead the design and development of AI-driven automation for omnichannel customer communication (phone, SMS, WhatsApp, email).
- Optimise & Scale: Continuously improve system performance, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Team Leadership: Lead a 3-person development team, delegating tasks while staying hands-on with coding.
- Cloud & APIs: Leverage AWS, Azure, or GCP and integrate APIs for seamless AI solutions.
- Client Success: Collaborate with clients to integrate AI solutions into their platforms and ensure top-notch service delivery.
- Data-Driven: Use data to train models and improve automation accuracy and efficiency.
- Testing & Troubleshooting: Implement rigorous testing to ensure the AI systems are rock-solid.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years in AI development with hands-on experience building ML models, automation systems, and chatbot integrations.
- Expertise in integrating communication channels like voice (IVR), SMS, WhatsApp, and email.
- Proven leadership ability—experience managing a small team while remaining hands-on in development.
- Deep understanding of NLP, speech recognition, and sentiment analysis.
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and API integrations.
- Problem-solving skills and a drive for innovation.
- Excellent client-facing communication and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with voice AI/IVR systems.
- Automotive industry knowledge and AI ethics/privacy expertise.
