Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Costs Lawyer wanting a new challenge. This is an opportunity to join a specialist team in Manchester that handles a wide range of costs matters, from low-value disputes to complex, high-value litigation across commercial and personal injury cases.

As a Costs Lawyer, you will:

1. Manage a diverse caseload of costs litigation matters.
2. Handle both claimant and defendant cost disputes.
3. Draft costs budgets, bills of costs, points of dispute and replies.
4. Negotiate settlements and prepare schedules of costs.
5. Advocate at costs hearings CCMCs.
6. Provide strategic advice to clients on cost-related issues.

What we are looking for:

1. At least 5 years' experience in costs litigation.
2. Strong drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
3. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple cases.
4. Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
5. Team player with strong communication skills.
