What you'll do:

  1. Lead the Finance Credit Control team, providing guidance and direction.
  2. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and exceptional customer service.
  3. Oversee credit management within a structured risk-controlled framework.
  4. Drive team performance through regular reviews, meetings, and performance management strategies.
  5. Track and assess Credit Control performance against established targets.
  6. Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  7. Ensure compliance with financial control policies and procedures.
  8. Effectively manage the resolution of customer disputes.
  9. Establish and monitor cash collection objectives.
  10. Reduce bad debt risk through proactive credit management practices.

What you bring:

  1. Strong understanding of the Credit Risk lifecycle.
  2. Effective stakeholder management skills with a customer-focused approach.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities effectively.
  5. In-depth knowledge of credit policy, process, and performance measurement of credit control best practice.
  6. Advanced level proficiency in Excel.
  7. Broad knowledge of Credit systems e.g., Dun & Bradstreet, Graydon.
  8. Strategic thinking abilities with foresight to map and deliver long-term goals.
