Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic FinOps Analyst to join our multi-disciplinary Business Operations Team. The team is established within the Client Delivery / Professional Services business unit and is now growing to support the full UK business and underpin the success of all business units.
The role will focus on the CloudOps & Support (Run) business unit and will provide data, insights and recommendations to allow the successful management of the financial health of our Run business. The successful candidate will also collaborate with Business Operations colleagues to define, implement, control and enhance operations processes across all business units.
Key Responsibilities
- KPI Tracking and Action Plans: Monitor key financial performance indicators relating to costs and revenue. Take ownership of relevant action plans to address areas requiring improvement, driving forward initiatives that enhance financial performance and operational efficiency.
- Cost Visibility: Improve and maintain a process that provides transparent cost insights to colleagues across the organisation (AWS / on premise hosting / third party costs etc) Enable informed decision-making by ensuring all team members understand how their work impacts the company's financial health.
- Budgeting and Reporting Improvements: Responsible for implementing and refining budgeting and reporting procedures to enhance the quality of financial forecasting. Focus on accurate financial tracking and reporting to the Head of Cloud and Support, streamlining processes to reduce the time required for monthly closings.
- Control of Third-Party Licensing: You will be responsible for ensuring that we have an accurate inventory of licensing information on which our Financial Control and Run teams can rely. You will achieve this through the monitoring & control of our third-party licensing process and detailed tracking of spend vs forecast.
Qualifications
We are interested in hearing from you, if you have most of the following attributes:
- Experience: Proven FinOps experience, with a background in P&L management, budgeting, forecasting & reconciliations.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent numerical and analytical skills and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret complex data and produce actionable insights.
- Working Style: Proven ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex financial information in an understandable manner.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office toolset with advanced Excel skills & experience in analysing AWS cost data (Cost Explorer / QuickSight, etc.). Visual Basic/Macro skills and Power BI proficiency are desirable but not essential.
- Attitude: Enthusiasm, positive attitude and ability to build strong working relationships. Flexibility to pick up and handover tasks based on availability of part time members of the team.

Salary range for this role is £35,000 - £42,000 per annum.
