Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Music Technician to join the team on a term time only basis. In return, you will receive a salary of £23,764 per annum pro rata.

We are a high-achieving college who attract around 2,800 sixth form students across the region each year. We are based within the stunning New Forest National Park and offer our students a huge range of courses and superb facilities.

About The Role

As the Music Technician, you undertake the responsibility of maintaining the spaces and resources in the Music Department and a range of technical duties in support of the academic function. A range of duties are outlined below. Full job description available. We are looking for a person who has technical experience in a music studio set-up and enjoys working alongside students and lecturers.

As Our Music Technician, Your Main Tasks Will Include
  1. Maintaining all the music spaces and technical resources
  2. Maintaining a rehearsal booking system
  3. Preparing and setting up equipment and resources for lessons and performances
  4. Supporting lecturers and students with computer-based music technology systems such as Logic Pro X and Musescore
  5. Leading live event setups (Sound, light and stage rigging)
As Our Music Technician, You'll Ideally Have
  1. Level 3 qualification in Music Technology or related field or equivalent qualification or relevant experience
  2. Experience in the operation of a sound recording studio
  3. Experience working with both analogue and digital sound desks
  4. An ability to work with 16-19 year olds
  5. A commitment to music technology
