About Our Client

Our client is a large organisation in the FMCG industry, known for their commitment to quality and sustainability. They are a trusted brand with a wide range of products, serving customers across the UK from their Peterborough base. Due to an internal promotion they are currently recruiting for a Supply Planner on a permanent basis. This would be an ideal role for anyone with a keen interest in developing their Supply Chain career although experience isn't essential - if you are a strong communicator, confident using MS Office (including Excel), and looking for a long term opportunity based in Peterborough please apply.

Job Description

• Forecasting product demand and managing inventory levels.
• Collaborating with procurement teams to secure necessary goods and services.
• Developing and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Ensuring supply chain processes meet business and customer requirements.
• Analysing supply chain data and providing actionable insights.
• Maintaining compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.
• Coordinating with other departments to ensure efficient operations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Junior Supply Planner should have:

• A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field - desirable
• Previous experience in a role with demonstrable transferrable skills
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency using MS Excel
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of supply chain best practices and industry regulations - desirable
• Able to work well independently as well as within a team.
