We are seeking to appoint a Professor to undertake exciting research in Advanced Textiles. Importantly, we are seeking experienced researchers with a track record of success who combine well-developed leadership skills with proven abilities in team building, interdisciplinary collaboration and partnerships.
The Advanced Textile Research Group (ATRG) collaborates with leading academic and industry partners through research, innovation, knowledge exchange and consultancy projects.
You will be joining a strong and dedicated team of academics, researchers and technicians with excellent technical facilities. As an experienced research leader, you will play a key role in further developing our inclusive and diverse research culture, mentoring early career colleagues, promoting and facilitating interdisciplinary and collaborative research, growing research income and enhancing the quality of a wide variety of research outputs.
As a successful and experienced researcher with a track record of team building and inspiring and supporting postgraduate researchers and colleagues, you will have the enthusiasm and vision to contribute to the growth of research. As a recognised leader in your field, you will have or be developing an international profile as a research leader in advanced textiles.
With a PhD and significant research experience, you will have track record of consistently delivering high quality research outputs and capturing significant external funding as a Principal and Co-Investigator from prestigious and competitive sources. The Group has a dedicated research team and extensive facilities for the design, manufacture and testing of novel electronic and functional textiles.
