Role Description

We are seeking dedicated and skilled HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and excellent customer service.

• Operate lorries in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transport.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to safety and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Valid license and clean driving record.
• Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid HGV Class 1 licence and CPC.
• Strong navigation skills and knowledge of road networks.
• Excellent time management abilities to ensure timely deliveries.
• Good communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
• Experience in unloading and handling trucks.
• Strong attention to detail and safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial.
