JSM Associates is thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for an Associate or Senior Landscape Architect to join an award-winning environmental consultancy. With a team of 80+ professionals across seven offices in the UK, this firm leads the way in innovative, sustainable design and planning solutions.

As a 4-day workweek company, they prioritize work-life balance while delivering outstanding results. You’ll be part of a forward-thinking team working on a diverse portfolio of projects nationwide, shaping the future of development through creative and impactful landscape design.

Your Role

You’ll take charge of moulding the development landscape, placing sustainable design at the forefront of client strategies. From the earliest planning stages through to project completion, you’ll be involved in:

1. Landscape and Visual Appraisals (LVA), Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA), and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).
2. Developing Opportunities and Constraints Assessments, Management Plans, and Method Statements.
3. Crafting Green Infrastructure (GI) and Landscape Strategies.

About You

We’re looking for a skilled professional who can bring vision and leadership to the role:

Academic Qualifications: A degree in a relevant subject.
Experience: Proven field survey experience and familiarity with UK legislation and planning policy frameworks.
Project Leadership: Strong project management skills and a track record of winning and delivering your own work.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience liaising with clients, statutory bodies, and local planning authorities.
Licenses: Full UK driving license.
Desirable: Chartered membership of the Landscape Institute (LI), though not essential.
