Are you a PMLD Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of children? We are seeking a Special Educational Needs, PMLD Teacher for a vibrant primary school in Streatham specialising in supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and complex medical needs or (PMLD) specifically in KS2 (primary school). This school offers fantastic CPD opportunities and welcomes applications from experienced SEN teachers.
In this rewarding PMLD Teacher role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment tailored to the unique needs of each student based on their care plan. Your expertise as a PMLD Teacher will help develop individualised learning plans that promote engagement through sensory-based learning, whilst providing students with a comprehensive curriculum focused on the need for a sensory approach to learning and the motivation for each of the students' needs.
The School
The successful PMLD Teacher applicant would be joining a long-standing SEN school in Streatham for children with severe learning difficulties and complex medical needs. This SEN school offers provision for pupils from 2-11 years, who have severe learning differences and complex medical needs. There is a focus on child-centred learning, and staff are trained in specialist communication methods such as augmentative and alternative communication, makaton, PECS and communication books, as well as working alongside medical professionals.
