Job description

Sewell Wallis is currently recruiting for an experienced Legal Cashier to join a well-known business, who are based in North Yorkshire. Due to growth plans they are looking to expand their finance team.

In this position you will be reporting into a very supportive Accounts Supervisor and given full autonomy to manage your day-to-day.

The role requires on-site presence but they offer flexibility regarding start and finish times and an array of flexi benefits. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their finance career within a legal environment.

What will you be doing?

  1. Provide support and assistance in the smooth and efficient running of the Accounts Department.
  2. Issue of cheques in accordance with instructions received.
  3. Posting of 'chits' relating to client account transactions.
  4. Daily bankings.
  5. Verification of Completion Statements.
  6. Checking of bills.
  7. Taking card payments for clients in person and over the telephone.
What skills are we looking for?
  1. Legal experience would be advantageous.
  2. Experience in working in accounts.
  3. Ability to work as part of a team.
  4. Have strong Excel skills.
