Role and Responsibilities

We're currently expanding our team and are in search of a Junior Management Accountant to contribute to our mission.

In this role, you will support the Financial Controller and the wider finance team by ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and efficient financial operations. You’ll play a key part in contributing to the company’s financial health and success. With strong Excel and IT skills, along with the ability to work on your own initiative, you will be a key player in ensuring that the finance department of the business flows smoothly day-to-day. The main responsibilities are as follows:

  1. Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
  2. Support the preparation of financial reports for the UK and international offices.
  3. Contribute to board-level reports and presentations.
  4. Perform regular reconciliations for multiple bank accounts.
  5. Investigate and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
  6. Ensure supplier invoices are accurately captured, coded, and approved.
  7. Monitor supplier accounts to ensure timely payments and resolve any discrepancies.
  8. Support the preparation of weekly payment runs.
  9. Raise sales invoices promptly and accurately.
  10. Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue payments to maintain cash flow.
  11. Support the review of event budgets and monitor actual costs.
  12. Analyse profitability and identify areas for cost efficiencies.
  13. Reconcile key balance sheet accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and intercompany balances.
  14. Assist with compliance to financial regulations and prepare for internal and external audits.
  15. Support the preparation and submission of local and other statutory tax filings.
  16. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  17. Assist in implementing new tools or automation initiatives.

About you To succeed in this role, you’ll bring enthusiasm, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Currently studying or part-qualified in an accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA).
  • Previous experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or SAP) and Excel.
