Job description

Role - Document Controller
Location - Remote (must be in Bristol, Gloucester, or Bridgwater)
Pay Rate - £104 per day, to raise to £120 per day after 12 weeks of successful training (full training is provided)
Hours - Full time 37 hours per week

About the role
Ensure the management of documents and records for our site, in compliance with License Condition 6: Documents, Records, Authorities & Certificates through effective document control processes and procedures using the company Electronic Document and Record Management Systems (EDRMS).
Principal Accountabilities

  • Complete the quality assurance of contractor deliverable submissions, to provide an auditable trail for all documentation within the Electronic Document and Record Management Systems (EDRMS).
  • Support the integration of HPC EDRMS with its wider information management needs.
  • Comply with HPC's approved processes and procedures.
  • Champion best practice Document Management across the DDC Team and HPC project.
  • Maintain a focus on continuous improvement to DDC performance, processes, and procedures.
  • Use TcRA to interpret management reports on internal and external performance.
  • Maintain an active awareness of new developments in the document control space and raise potential improvements to the LDC.
  • Represent the DDC Team at Programme and/or contract level meetings as and when required.
  • Complete all required mandatory and specific to role training.
  • Adapt to change and increases to volumes of activity.
  • Support the adoption of a new EDRMS, enhanced functionality and processes & procedures.
  • Engage key internal stakeholders including all end users, LDC, all NNB DCs, Supply Chain, Responsible Designer (RD), Third party, and Regulatory bodies (ONR, EA).

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Essential

  • No formal qualifications are required if there is an ability to demonstrate a good standard of general education.
  • Experience of working in a project environment, delivering against set timescales, objectives, and milestones.
  • Understanding of the quality assurance process principles applicable to document control.
  • Awareness of the importance of document control.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise workload.
  • Strong competence in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to communicate with and influence or promote the role that the DDC team fulfills on project with strong emphasis on the importance of successfully collaboratively managing interfaces.
