A London based Managing General Agent (MGA) is recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join its Accounts department.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Matching client premium payments and underwriter payments on the ledger
Participating in internal credit control meetings to discuss issues
Sending regular statement chasers to insureds/brokers and resolving any queries
Preparing and issuing broker commission statements
Investigating and resolving anomalies with the assistance of other departments as required
Raising and issuing deductibles
Posting journals and validating banking details
Applicants must have previous hands-on finance experience (e.g., IBA, credit control, reconciliations, etc.) gained within an insurance business and be comfortable dealing with high volumes of transactions, posting journals, and allocating cash. A practical understanding of debits and credits is required for this role.
