We currently have a vacancy for an HGV Technician / Workshop Supervisor working on the Night shift at our Spalding depot.

Who are we looking for as an HGV Technician / Workshop Supervisor:

  • Previous Workshop Supervisor experience working as a Technician / Mechanic within the HGV, Commercial Vehicle, LGV, PSV, Heavy Plant, Car, or an associated sector.
  • Ideally have served a recognised apprenticeship or training programme.
  • Qualified to Level 3 (C&G, NVQ or equivalent) in Commercial Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
  • Excellent technical knowledge ensuring maintenance and repairs are carried out to manufacturer’s procedures.
  • Sound knowledge to accurately diagnose faults.
  • Carry out safety inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT's.
  • Skills to follow company processes for completing all paperwork including accurate completion of job cards and service records.
  • General level of computer literacy.
  • Full UK driving licence.

The HGV Technician / Workshop Supervisor role / responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Managing a team of HGV Technicians. Ensuring workshop activities are compliant with Health and Safety legislation. Allocating work to the Workshop and completing job cards. Servicing and maintaining a wide variety of Trucks and Vehicles. Fault diagnostics. MOT preparation. Mechanical and electrical repairs. Ensuring repairs are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures and in a safe and responsible manner. Road testing vehicles when required, subject to licence restrictions. Attending any technical or development training that is made available.
