Job Title: HSE Manager

About the Role

Our client, a leading organization in the transport and logistics industry, is seeking a skilled HSE Manager to lead and oversee their Health, Safety, and Environmental initiatives. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with local and international regulations while fostering a culture of safety and environmental awareness across the organization. With a strong focus on road safety, logistics, and transport management, the HSE Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring safe and efficient operations in road freight and related activities.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and management systems.
  2. Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  3. Design and deliver HSE training programs for employees at all levels, with an emphasis on road safety and transport operations.
  4. Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and prepare detailed reports with actionable recommendations.
  5. Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and international standards.
  6. Coordinate emergency response planning, including conducting drills and simulations.
  7. Maintain comprehensive HSE documentation, including policies, risk assessments, and incident records.
  8. Drive initiatives to promote a safety-conscious culture across the organization, particularly within logistics and transport functions.
  9. Collaborate with various departments to integrate HSE best practices into operational processes, including road freight and logistics management.
  10. Prepare and present HSE performance reports, key metrics, and improvement plans to senior management.
  11. Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to implement relevant improvements.

Mandatory Requirements

  1. Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in HSE roles.
  2. At least 2 years of experience specifically in road safety and land transport.
  3. Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
  4. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  6. Effective communication and presentation skills.
  7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects under tight deadlines.
  8. Proficiency in HSE management software and tools.
  9. High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
