Salary: Competitive salary from £40,000 to £60,000 per annum depending on skills and experience of successful candidate

Job grade: B

We have an exciting opportunity for you to significantly impact the development and modernisation of our Clean Water Infrastructure in the Thames Valley and the surrounding areas. As the successful candidate, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to ensure the continued future delivery of essential services while safeguarding our environment within the Water Industry.

What you’ll be doing as a Construction and Integration Engineer

  • Supporting essential design and delivery reviews, identifying risks and issues, and working with stakeholders to resolve them.
  • Carry out health and safety audits to ensure relevant issues are corrected.
  • Focus on the construction phase of wastewater projects, assessing and reporting project progress, acting to rectify issues, and taking the lead on the escalation process if necessary. Ensure all non-conformance is identified and corrected.
  • Manage, identify, and resolve snags and liaise with Operators and contractors after the takeover to handle defects, the aftercare process, and performance testing.
  • Monitor, agree on, and approve Takeover tests with the project team.
  • Ensure that the required project documentation meets our specifications and that the information for taking over is approved.
  • Work as an active member of one or more project teams with one or more of our contractors.

Requirements:

  • HNC or above in an appropriate engineering subject or background in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of health and safety on construction sites or an SMSTS qualification can be offered as part of the role if the holder is not currently holding it.
  • Understanding of design, construction, and operations within industries like the theatre sector.
  • Background in project delivery and integration within the construction sector.
  • Confidence in communicating with various levels of stakeholders.
