Business Manager - Accountancy & Finance

The Head of Finance and IT will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, responsible for overseeing all financial operations, driving strategy, and ensuring compliance. This role involves managing the Finance and IT department, providing strategic direction, and fostering collaboration across teams to enhance the organisation's financial health and operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to business strategy and policy development as part of the Senior Leadership Team.
• Supervise and guide the Finance and IT department to achieve organisational objectives.
• Develop and implement Finance and IT strategies.
• Ensure adequate insurance policies are in place for business and event activities.
• Act as Company Secretary and oversee GDPR compliance.
• Manage staff recruitment, retention, and development within the Finance and IT department.
• Oversee financial reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, governance codes, and company policies.
• Conduct financial risk analysis and manage budgetary control.
• Oversee all financial operations and guide the finance team.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Drive profitability and growth through strategic financial insights.
• Engage in financial forecasting and risk management.

Key Requirements:

• Degree level education or equivalent
• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
• Experience in finance, communications, and IT
• Senior-level finance experience, ideally in a similar-sized business
