Loading Shovel Operator

Holcim UK is looking for an experienced Loading Shovel Operator to join our team at Bardon Hill. This is a great opportunity for an operator with a strong safety focus to work with a leading company in the industry.

Role: Loading Shovel Operator

Location: Holcim UK Limited, Bardon Hill Quarry, Bardon Road, Coalville, LE67 1TL

Pay: £15ph PAYE + OT at x1.5

Hours: Monday - Friday, 6am to 6pm (60 hours per week, OT available)

Contract: Temp to Perm (3-6 months initially, with potential for a permanent role)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operating loading shovel machinery safely and efficiently
2. Handling materials and ensuring timely delivery to designated areas
3. Conducting routine checks on equipment and reporting any issues
4. Adhering to strict health and safety procedures

Essential Requirements:

1. Valid Loading Shovel licence
2. Experience operating a loading shovel in an industrial setting
3. Familiarity with loader joystick operation
4. Valid UK driving licence and own transport
5. Previous experience in a similar role
6. Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
