Job description

Structural Fabrication company in Bradford BD11 needs Welder Fabricator x 10.
Enjoy a 3 day weekend break! Friday & Sat Overtime T+1/2 if want it! All Welder Fabricators considered are required to carry out a MAG Fillet and Butt Weld TEST on site before an offer is made (Proceeding to Coded Standard If Offered!) Paying £16.12 per hour PAYE start day, rising to £17.47ph on successful completion of training and weld codings (within 2 weeks of starting and passing them).

THE ROLE of Welder Fabricator:

MIG (MAG) Welding Carbon (mild) steels ranging 7mm-20mm average thickness and you must feel competent to weld to a coded standard as your brackets, beams or other parts will be put through testing!

The newly renovated workshop is clean, spacious, fully heated, and safe throughout.
High quality masks, respiratory equipment, and PPE all supplied.

Responsibilities:

1. Understanding & competent of multiple welding practices inc. MMA, MIG / MAG.
2. Use of plasma & Oxy Acy cutting equipment.
3. Competent in steel work fabrications in line with drawings, specs, dimensions, and tolerances.
4. Safe setup & use of welding plant and equipment.
5. Understanding of welding defects and possible causes.

Weld qualification:

Codings paid for by the company and undertaken within first 2-4 weeks of starting, raising you to £17.16 (then £17.47 with crane license) per hour for 4 days work!

SALARY & BENEFITS of Welder Fabricator:

1. £17.47 per hour after butt & fillet codings passed in first 2 weeks + Holidays.
2. Monday to Wednesday 7am - 5pm and Thursday 7am - 4.30pm.
3. Overtime available Fridays & sometimes Saturdays T+1/2 - your choice not expected!
4. Immediate start following weld test on site and 'temp to perm' after successful completion of minimum 18 weeks!

Salary basic for the Welder Fabricator:

£34,067 after completed Butt & Fillet weld qualifications (codings) all paid for by the company.
