Project Manager - civils

Danny Sullivan Group are currently looking for a Project Manager with good civils/substation/cabling background for a role with a utilities contractor engaged on projects at Sizewell C.

Ideal candidate would have experience of delivering the civils elements of power/substation projects in the UK with a large utilities contractor. Client are open to local or lodging candidates.

Responsibilities:

• Project Planning and Management: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Team Coordination: Lead and manage multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, construction workers, and subcontractors. Ensure effective communication and collaboration among team members.
• Quality Assurance: Oversee all construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and legal regulations. Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle.
• Client and Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, stakeholders, and senior management. Prepare and present project reports, proposals, and updates.
• Resource Management: Ensure the timely delivery of materials and equipment to construction sites. Monitor project expenses and manage the project budget effectively.
• Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to legal requirements, building codes, and safety regulations.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager in the civil engineering or construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, project management principles, and relevant legal regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
