Admin role in a very busy Prison to Court Video Link Team.
Brook Street is working in partnership with HMPPS North-East Regional Office in their search for an Administrator to join their busy team.
Location: FOREST HOUSE (DH15AN) - DURHAM - OFFICE FULL TIME
Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 9am to 5pm - 37 hours per week
Salary: £11.59 per hour - Weekly Pay
Assignment Duration: Until the end of December 2025 with a possible extension.
Job Description:
This is a regional job; the centralised listing team is located in prison premises outside the secure perimeter alongside HMP Durham. The unit deals with the listing of Prison to Court Video Links daily, covering Cumbria, Durham, Northumberland, Yorkshire, and Humber areas. This is a dynamic environment requiring excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
The aim of this role is to reduce the number of unnecessary productions at court by maximising the use of Prison Court Video Link (PCVL) slots within prisons. The administration priorities are to get the most out of available capacity, reduce unnecessary physical movement of prisoners, and maximise operational efficiencies. The reduction in productions is due to the challenge process introduced by our Centralised Listing Team (CLT) who will challenge the need for a prisoner appearing at court.
