Job Type: Very competitive basic salary highly dependent on experience + Company Car + Benefits Package

Package: Very competitive higher basic driven package

This ASM role involves selling the company's full range of Timber products including Carcassed Timber, Timber panels, Decking, Lumber, Fencing & Chipboard. You will be selling 100% into independent builders merchants, timber merchants, and all members within buying groups such as NBG, Fortis etc. There will be some involvement at individual branch management level but the main interaction will be with Regional Directors/Senior Managers or at the head offices at smaller but Multi Branch Independent Merchants with Managing Directors & Purchasing Directors. Based from home and reporting to the Head of Group Sales UK, the area they are recruiting is the top of Shropshire, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, all of Yorkshire and across into the North West, which means there will be nights away sometimes but not often, maybe 2-3 nights a month maximum. Lots of existing business but huge potential to develop new accounts.

The company is an extremely well-established supplier of many Timber materials used across Construction, Fencing & Timber Frame projects. They have grown both organically and through acquisition.

My client is ideally looking for a high-quality sales person from within the Timber sector who has experience of dealing with Independent Merchants or Buying Groups. If you don’t have Timber product knowledge, I am still keen to talk to you, providing you can clearly demonstrate strong relationships & success in selling a construction product through the Merchants / Buying groups. You can be based anywhere in the region. You need to be driven, structured, dynamic, energetic and be able to show achievements in growing business through Merchants.
