The DSU is home to the Leverhulme Centre for Demographic Science, an interdisciplinary research centre funded by the Leverhulme Trust and directed by Professor Melinda Mills which aims to disrupt and realign how we measure and model populations by infusing new types of data, methods and unconventional approaches to tackle the most challenging demographic problems of our time.

You will lead and develop innovative research in the area of geospatial and digital health, demography and pandemic preparedness. You will also enhance and innovate on an existing geospatial database and interactive dashboard with geospatial GIS data and supervise junior staff in this area.

To be considered for the role you will hold a Ph.D/D.Phil in Population Health, Demography, Spatial Epidemiology, Geography, Statistics, Data Science, or other relevant discipline, as well as have substantial relevant post-qualification research experience.

This is a full-time, fixed term post for 3 years.
