We have an exciting opportunity for a senior nurse to join the management team of the Camden and Islington Sexual Health Service for under 25s (CAMISH). The service is delivered in partnership with Brook. CNWL run a dedicated young people’s clinic in Islington and also deliver health promotion outreach services across Camden and Islington and Brook run a dedicated young people's clinic in Camden and deliver education services and Relationship and Sex Education in schools.
The post holder will be responsible for operational management and will also be the safeguarding lead for the CAMISH service. Together with the Service Manager they will ensure the team meet performance and quality standards for both clinic and outreach delivery. The service will move to new premises later in the year and the postholder will lead the mobilisation of the service at the new clinic, including moving to a new electronic patient record system.

The post holder has daily managerial responsibility alongside the Service Manager for the effective operational running of sexual health and contraception services for young people as part of the Camden and Islington Young People’s Sexual Health Service (CAMISH). The post holder will be part of the senior management team and lead the nursing team and clinical services and also be the safeguarding lead for the service.
The post holder is a member of the management team and as such has a responsibility to participate in the management of the service and provide sound advice and guidance to the Service Manager, Clinical Leads and the Deputy Service Director.
The post holder will take day to day operational management responsibility for the planning, directing and performance management of the service. They will also ensure that service access and delivery is efficient, effective, evidence-based, needs led and patient care focused. They will provide clear leadership, in partnership with the Service Manager in order to ensure timely screening, treatment and interventions by well led and motivated staff that contributes to promoting safety for patients and carers. The post holder will work with the Service Manager to ensure that team performance targets are consistently met by developing and implementing improvement plans as and when necessary.
CNWL Sexual Health and HIV Services is a major provider of NHS sexual health and HIV care in London and Surrey. Services operate from clinical sites in Camden, Islington, Haringey and Barnet in London and from Guildford, Woking and Redhill in Surrey. Clinical delivery is supported by sexual health promotion outreach services.
