Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a portfolio of transport planning projects from inception to completion.
Develop innovative transport strategies, ensuring sustainable, practical, and cost-effective solutions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.
Prepare and present high-quality technical reports, feasibility studies, and business cases.
Contribute to business development activities, including proposal writing and identifying new opportunities.

Essential Skills and Experience:

A degree in transport planning, engineering, geography, or a related field.
Significant experience in transport planning, ideally within a consultancy environment.
Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver within deadlines.
Strong understanding of UK transport policies, guidance, and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
Proficiency in relevant software, such as AutoCAD, TRICS, Junctions, or VISSIM, is advantageous.
Chartered or working towards chartered status (e.g., CIHT, TPS, or similar).
Experience in leading and developing teams.
Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management.
