This is a crucial role with responsibility for effectively and efficiently supporting both project and standard product engineering and manufacturing teams in the areas of Product Statutory Regulatory Compliance and Product Quality.

The role holder will demonstrate effective communication skills which will be critical to the success of this role, with the ability to influence peers and raise the bar in quality methods and regulatory compliance. A pragmatic and data-driven approach will assist in prioritising improvements across the existing product portfolio.

Skills & Experience Essential Qualifications:

1. High level of knowledge and experience of statutory regulations, including demonstrated application of these to products being sold into global markets.
2. Determines compliance by establishing compliance test standards, conducting and witnessing tests, performing diagnostic procedures, measuring performance, analysing and evaluating findings.
3. Explaining and defining compliance protocols and measures to stakeholders and relevant authorities.
4. Ideally, the products that the person has experience of will be electrical/electronic systems and the person may be looking to take a step into the world of product compliance.
5. Support and guide engineering for completion of safety assessments such as BSEN61010.
6. A working knowledge of electrical and mechanical assembly, manufacturing, test, and qualification.
7. Familiar with good quality management principles and working to ISO9001 as a minimum.
8. Carried out formal BMS ISO9001 internal audits as well as more ad-hoc reviews of business processes and performance, taking ownership of them to continually improve.
9. Supporting other Quality activities such as RMAs, coordinating CRBs and QRBs.
10. Problem-solving experience (8D, A3, Root Cause Analysis etc.).
