Bank Community Nurse - Band 5 East London NHS Foundation Trust

Are you a Newly Qualified band 5 registered nurse or an experienced nurse looking for your next career move? Do you want to make a difference? Then why not join the South Locality District Nursing Team in Tower Hamlets. We are looking for 2 adult community registered nurses to cover a 6 month and 11 month secondment positions.

As a Bank Band 5 Community Nurse, you will be providing high-quality nursing care to patients who reside in the Borough of Tower Hamlets. You will be promoting the health of this population, reducing the effects of ill health and disability, and maximizing the individuals' potential for independence.

We have a robust Preceptorship Nursing Programme supported by our dedicated Professional Development Team for both Newly Qualified Band 5 registered nurses and experienced nurses who are new to community nursing. You will be supported by our team of highly experienced district nurses to ensure you reach a very high standard of clinical knowledge, skills, and experience. We will also provide further career developmental opportunities to help you become our aspiring future leaders.

As well as bringing your clinical expertise and willingness to develop, you will be a strong team player, an excellent communicator who is adaptable, committed, well-organized, and able to work well under pressure.

Our team is an established integrated service, allowing you the opportunity to work closely with Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Care Navigators, Mental Health Liaison Nurses, and Psychologists. Our service is supported by experienced administrators. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with local General Practices, Tower Hamlets Social Service team, and other statutory and non-statutory services to meet the health and social needs of this local population. The integration and collaboration of all these disciplines and services ensures that new admissions to our service receive a clinically robust assessment and treatment plan, with an emphasis on promoting independent living that is holistic, evidence-based, and in line with current Best Practice Guidelines. Support and development for staff in our service is one of our main goals.
