Salary: £45,000
My client is looking for an experienced Senior Buyer to join their Procurement team. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, this role is key to supporting regional purchasing activities, providing local bid support, and ensuring best practices across procurement and supply chain functions. You'll be the go-to person for purchasing advice, supplier engagement, and procurement strategies in your allocated region.
What You'll Be Doing:
Supporting internal and external stakeholders with procurement needs across your region
Working closely with operations teams to manage bid, purchasing, and supplier requirements
Developing and delivering a regional purchasing plan with key performance indicators
Managing contractual risk and ensuring local supply chains are robust
Supporting wider category management and business sourcing activities
Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
What We're Looking For:
Procurement experience as a Buyer or Senior Buyer, ideally in a similar industry
Strong understanding of financial and commercial impacts of procurement decisions
Experience in supplier development and relationship management
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
Strong stakeholder management skills, gaining buy-in at all levels
Experience using ERP software (COINS experience is a bonus!)
