Job Title: Lead Mechanical Operator

Location: Slough

Salary: From £40,000 - £48,000 (inclusive of shift allowance) dependent on experience

Performance: related company bonus

Welcome bonus: £2,000

Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off pattern (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off) 12 hour shifts

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Mars Wrigley factory in Slough. We are seeking mechanically minded individuals who hold a passion for maintenance! Whether your experience is in the maintenance of ships, cars, tanks, lifts, generators, or similar mechanical industries.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Identify and repair mechanical breakdowns on various machinery.
2. Accountable for the performance of several machines, processes, or pieces of equipment.
3. Coordinate a small team of operators and temporary associates to achieve line targets.
4. Assist operators with daily production tasks to ensure line targets are met.

What are we looking for?

1. Mechanical tinkering mindset, always looking to improve machinery!
2. Hands-on experience of mechanical maintenance, this can be from numerous environments such as maintenance of ships, cars, tanks, lifts, generators, etc.
3. Mechanically minded and able to disassemble, fault find, and assemble machinery.
4. Minimum 1 year’s experience managing and coordinating operators.
5. Ideally hold an NVQ or apprenticeship within Mechanical Engineering, however this is not a must.
6. Educated to GCSE level.
