The Senior appreciates the complexities of building a product (SAAS) and understands software architecture so that solutions are clever enough to solve the immediate problem, flexible enough to adapt to our changing market, and simple enough to maintain so that it can stand the test of time.

Responsibilities
  • Use creativity, company-approved design patterns, and problem-solving to build and maintain web APIs and build integrations between our APIs and Third Party APIs
  • Work in a small, fully-remote, multi-functional team that maintains the systems at the core of our business
  • Write unit tests and deliver testable, maintainable, and high-quality code
  • Develop and deploy web APIs and integrations with web APIs
  • Take operational responsibility for the services we deploy, including some debugging and fixing defects
  • Own significant features or projects and contribute to design decisions
  • Work with POs on backlog refinement
  • Participate as a technical project lead in sprint planning, daily standups, code/peer reviews, retrospectives, and demos
  • Share knowledge, promote best practices, and collaborate with other engineers
  • Mentor less senior engineers
  • Other relevant projects as needed or assigned
Qualifications
  • Demonstrable experience of Object Oriented programming languages and best practices (we use C#.net) and/or equivalent abilities as displayed in our senior-level code challenge
  • Experience building web APIs
  • Experience in an agile SAAS shop
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with Vue.js preferred
  • Understanding of architecture and design patterns
  • Ability and desire to stay up-to-date with current best practices in your areas of expertise
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Good communication skills to be a great teammate
  • Experience with Azure or AWS cloud technologies preferred
  • Experience with microservices or large scale enterprise software
  • Good Project management skills

What's in it for you?

  • The chance to work within a team of hard-working, passionate people.
  • Great job satisfaction from seeing the difference you make in the world of Safeguarding.
  • A dedicated well-being team (who surprise us every now and then with yummy treats, social lunchtimes and much more!).
  • Townhall meetings hosted by our parent company.
  • Development Reviews (1 Month, 3 Month and 6 Months initially).
  • Full Time Staff are entitled to 34 days paid holiday per annum (this includes 8 Bank and Public Holidays).
  • Employee referral scheme for recommending a friend (once they’ve successfully completed their 6 month probationary period).
