Job overview

We are looking for Clinical Psychologists or final year Trainee Clinical Psychologists with an interest in clinical health psychology and the impact of living with respiratory conditions or Long Term Ventilation. You may have experience of working with physical health problems with either children/families or adults, or experience of working in child and adolescent or adult mental health services with a keen interest and desire to apply that knowledge to work in an acute trust.

The postholder will join the Children's Respiratory MDT and Children’s LTV team at NUH, at the Nottingham Children's Hospital (QMC). The Children’s Respiratory team at NUH Children’s Hospital provides a comprehensive service for a range of respiratory conditions based on national and local guidelines.

The service is a tertiary referral service and provides a service for the East Midlands. The Children’s LTV team provides specialist services for Children and Young People on home ventilation. It is one of the few trusts nationally that offer specialist LTV nursing and therapy community support across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire, with some support now being offered in Staffordshire.

As a Clinical Psychologist working in the services, you will provide a specialist service for children, young people and their families to help with psychological distress and treatment outcomes.
We would welcome applications from newly qualified psychologists, or 3rd Year Trainees due to qualify in 2025.
