The European Technical & Card Brand Compliance Team is responsible for providing oversight of the Platform, Product and Card Brand compliance across GP’s European Entities.

The department covers GPUK, Multinational Commerce, GPE s.r.o., GP s.r.o. and GP Malta by ensuring the ‘end to end’ identification, monitoring and management of card industry and card regulatory changes across Europe.

The department acts as the central depository of information, guidance and insight into the changes required to adhere to the compliance requirements. Managing the distribution, and providing oversight and governance, tracking progress of Business Units towards completion of change.

Maintains and socialises a compliance log, highlighting areas of risk, or concern and providing insight on the impacts.

The team provides expert analysis of the impacts and benefits from Regulatory or Card Brand Compliance changes, as well as guidance and support around card brand requirements, policies and rules, to support business units make the necessary changes.

Liaise with Card Brands, to obtain greater understanding/clarity or push back based on business feedback and acts as the technical bridge between business Units and Card Brands.

The job holder is required to own and manage the Schemes governance process for the Europe region. This involves the ownership of the Regional Compliance Committees and effective communication of Card Brand publications.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary

  1. Support the tracking progress of Business Units towards completion of change.

  2. Manage depository of information.

  3. Provide Oversight and Control of European compliance process.

  4. Responsible for effective and timely distribution of the Card Brands publications and requirements within agreed timescales to relevant parties and effective mitigation of our exposure is undertaken.

  5. Own the production and circulation of all Outputs generated by the European Compliance committees.

  6. Maintain effective and professional ongoing relationships with the Card Brands and other Key third parties.

  7. Assist in effective communication of all Schemes related issues to ensure that relevant issues are communicated to Senior Managers within Global Payments.

  8. Support liaisons with the Card Schemes in any initiative that could enhance GP’s card acquiring proposition or mitigate any risks to GP and its customers.

Secondary

  1. Maintain effective communication of Payment Industry related information, making best use of communication channels.

  2. Provide insight, support and guidance to internal and external stakeholders.

  3. Support European Card Brand Compliance Managers.
