About Summer Programmes
Summer Programmes is a specialist creative business development unit in the School of International Education and Languages that designs, develops and delivers open and bespoke seasonal international education programmes in line with King's Education Strategy.
Its portfolio includes flagship undergraduate and pre-university summer schools, customised undergraduate and postgraduate student programming for international partners, short courses and overseas programmes offered in face-to-face, blended and online modalities.
About King's Centre for International Education and Languages
King's Centre for International Education and Languages a new, cross-cutting Centre designed to widen the educational reach of King's. It brings together three existing areas: King's Foundations, Summer Programmes, and King's Language Centre. This brings together international pathway provision, pre sessional programmes, pre-UG summer courses, UG summer modules, UG language modules, bespoke language programmes for the community and our partners and academic skills provision for all King's students.
Each of these areas are well established, respected and recognised within and beyond the King's community. The Centre is focused on enabling collaboration between the three departments to further advance our work in promoting educational excellence and supporting and enhancing the student experience. The Centre has significant expertise in International Education and makes a significant contribution to the rich and diverse make-up of the King's student body.
About the role
This is an opportunity for a proactive and motivated individual, with a strong interest in Higher Education on a global scale to join our creative and inspiring team at one of the world's leading universities.
The postholder will join the Programme Development team in Summer Programmes and be responsible for developing, managing, and expanding international partnerships to enhance student recruitment, institutional collaborations, and commercial education programmes. The role involves business development, partner engagement, account management, programme development and operational support to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality educational experiences.
This position requires strong relationship management, strategic planning, and intercultural communication skills to build long-term partnerships and drive international engagement.
The successful candidate will have a dynamic mindset and be both resourceful and efficient. They will take responsibility for developing and managing partnership requirements, leading engagement initiatives, business development and education innovation as we develop the Summer portfolio.
The role is primarily office-based at King's Strand Campus although candidates may be required to travel for meetings between campuses. The candidate should also be prepared to attend events in the evening/at weekends. International travel will be required. As part of King's trial of hybrid working, team members are currently permitted to work remotely for part of the week when programmes are not running. However, they will be required to be on campus full time during delivery periods (Jan/Feb, June - first half of August).
This is a full time and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
