Base pay range

Salary: £40,000-£45,000 + Bonus + Training & Progression opportunities within group

This is an opportunity for an experienced Chemist to join an innovative and dynamic team that builds and fosters collaborations across global innovation and R&D centres. This role will work closely with portfolio managers, business development managers, and marketing teams and is fully aligned with the strategic business objectives.

Duties of The Project Chemist
  1. Project Leadership/Management: Lead and manage business critical projects, from exploration to launch, putting customer needs at the heart of everything.
  2. Product Development: Hands-on approach to formulating and testing of innovative products and prototypes as well as data analysis. Furthermore, you will turn data into information and communicate findings across the company.
  3. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work alongside culturally diverse and international teams contributing to continuous improvement and high standards of performance.
Experience & Educational background
  1. Educational Background: A degree in a scientific discipline (e.g. Materials Science, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering)
  2. Experience: 2-5 years of experience working as a scientist or project leader, with a proven track record of managing and leading projects.
  3. Skills: Strong project leadership and communication skills. A proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation. Ability to turn data into information and what that data means.
  4. Curiosity: An inquisitive mind, persistence, tenacity, and an ability to think outside the box.
