About Our Client

Page Group are proud to be working in partnership with a genuine industry leader within the Legal Services Space. Our Client is experiencing strong commercial growth and performance and now have a need for an additional Operations Manager.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the role will oversee & own a Business Area and will lead performance with the support of a Team Leader network.

Our client is a true champion of agile working, with the need to be office based only 1 or 2 times per week.

Job Description

  • Lead an operation to deliver against performance and service metrics, addressing and highlighting any performance issues.
  • Lead an operation through a population of Team Leaders, ensuring they are aware of what is required around performance, output and behaviours.
  • Prioritise and manage resources to deliver against business performance objectives & P&L expectations, identifying and addressing any potential issues at an early stage.
  • Ensure consistency is maintained within the operations around quality of work, team performance and behaviours.
  • Take ownership of operational HR issues around Behaviour, performance, training and any other related issues.
  • Implement the business wide strategy within the Operation, ensuring implemented metrics support the achievement of business wide goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement across the operations through rigorous review and testing of process and procedures, presenting and implementing positive changes where needed.
  • Manage operational risk within the Operation, putting in place plans to mitigate negative risk surrounding Case Management / Case Progression, Regulatory Compliance & Quality.
  • Manage and assign workload and work-flow across the operation through effective planning and resource management.
  • Work across the Operational Management team to create a culture of Continuous improvement & high levels of staff engagement.
  • Create and present reports to Executive Directors highlighting performance across the operations.
  • Optimise Case Progression across the Operation.
  • Ensure an exceptional level of service is provided to Partners / B2B Customers at all times.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience as an Operations Manager.
  • Previous management of team Leaders.
  • Have led a back-office operation - i.e Legal, Shared Service, Back Office, Case Management Operation for example.
  • Extensive stakeholder management across all levels including C-Suite.
  • Ability to implement business strategy and drive performance.
  • P&L Management.
  • Process & Continuous Improvement knowledge.
  • Ability to interpret, understand and act upon data.
  • Strong people leadership and management.

The position offers a salary of £60,000 - £70,000 depending on experience, along with:

  • Discretionary annual bonus.
  • 25 days holiday (growing to 30 over tenure) ability to buy and sell holiday.

  • Ability to condense working week into 4 days (once per month).
