Job: Care Manager - Luxury Care Home, Dartford

Location: Dartford, Kent

Salary: 35,000 - 36,000 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week (9am-5pm) + On-call (2 weeks per month)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Care Manager to join their flexible team and play a pivotal role in maintaining their commitment to excellence.

The Role:

As Care Manager, you will be responsible for the overall care and well-being of residents, ensuring the delivery of exceptional standards within the home. You will provide strong leadership, effectively manage the care team, and maintain compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the delivery of high-quality care to all residents.
  • Audit, implement, and review care standards, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Provide strong leadership and effective team management.
  • Participate in the on-call rota (2 weeks per month).
  • Implement and maintain accurate electronic care plans.
  • Ensure adherence to individual care plans, providing compassionate and personalised care.
  • Supervise and support the senior care team.
  • Maintain compliance with all statutory and legal requirements, including Health & Safety, COSHH, and the Care Standards Act.
  • Manage staffing levels and ensure adequate cover.
  • Provide care and senior shift cover as required.
  • Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and infection control.
  • Administer and manage medication, maintaining accurate records.
  • Oversee and manage the champion scheme, ensuring staff training and development.
  • Manage medication and medical product stock control.
  • Conduct care manager checks as directed.
  • Maintain resident confidentiality at all times.
  • Conduct regular supervisions of the care team.
  • Deputise for the Deputy Manager as required.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience as a Care Manager within a luxury care home setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of care standards and regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable and dependable.
