Employment (Charities) Solicitor | Senior or Principal Associate | 4+ PQE | Leading National Firm | Birmingham

BCL Legal is delighted to be working with a top-ranked national firm on an exciting opportunity for a Senior or Principal Associate to join their renowned Charities team as an Employment Solicitor in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to support and help to lead a growing team, advising high-profile charity and third-sector clients on a wide variety of employment matters, during an exciting time of expansion. The role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis with flexible working options available and hybrid working as standard.

The Role

As a Senior/Principal Associate in the Employment team, you will:

- Undertake a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment work, primarily supporting charity and third-sector clients.
- Act for over 250 charities, including high-profile clients such as the Wellcome Trust, the British Council, Children in Need, and The King's Trust.
- Advise clients on Employment Tribunal matters, as well as deliver training, seminars, and legal updates to clients.
- Be actively involved in business development and client relationship management to foster further growth of the practice.
- Support the management and supervision of junior team members, while working closely with the partner to grow the charity-focused employment practice.
- Collaborate with a cross-office team working across a variety of sectors, including commercial, health, higher education, and sports.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will:

- Have at least 4 years' experience in employment law, gained in a reputable firm with a strong employment practice.
- Demonstrate experience and expertise in advising clients in the charity and third-sector space.
- Have strong business development skills and the ability to foster and maintain strong client relationships.
- Be a team player with the ability to lead and supervise junior members of the team.
- Be highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple complex matters.
