Laundry Assistant - NW11, Golders Green - Immediate Start

Ventry Care is recruiting members of domestic staff (laundry) to join the housekeeping team at our residential care home in Golders Green (London Borough of Barnet). We care for older persons and older persons with dementia.

Pay: Hourly and starts at £11.50 (increasing for excellent candidates).

Hours: 09:00 to 15:00 shift, up to 6 days per week available.

About This Role:

Essential infection control work; you will maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the Care Home.
Washing, drying, and packing away of laundry.
Checking that service users' wardrobes are well organised.
Ensuring service users' clothes and beddings are washed, ironed, and put away correctly in their respective rooms.
Using electrical equipment safely (i.e., hoover, washing machine, dryer, iron, and carpet cleaner).
Being aware of the usage and storage of materials and equipment and complying with COSHH requirements at all times.
Being aware of hazards and working within a safe environment, considering your own safety and the safety of others.
Ensuring all equipment is clean and well maintained.
Performing other domestic tasks as directed.

You will be supervised and supported by the care home management and will take instruction from them. Your daily aim is to keep a busy care home clean and organised. You must therefore be self-motivated and want to work well.

Experience is preferable but not essential. Ongoing training and support will be provided.
