As a Strategic Sourcing Buyer, you’ll report directly to the Managing Director.

The role will suit an experienced Purchasing/Procurement professional with working knowledge of end-to-end supply chain within a UK retailer, foodservice, or FMCG organization.

As a Strategic Sourcing Buyer, you’ll ensure that the business supplies the right products and services at the right price while supporting wider strategic priorities around Net Zero, Social Value, and beyond.

This is a critical role within the business that enables and supports the delivery of the strategic sourcing activity. You’ll work extensively alongside the Category and Account teams and the wider business to deliver commercial KPIs and work on strategic projects that have a wider impact across the organization. You’ll identify market trends and insights around Best in Class procurement and apply learnings to approach, process, and procedures to keep the business ahead of its competition.

This role also supports the business aspirations to push the boundaries of how the business approaches sourcing, the tools they use, and focuses on driving improvements while coaching and developing Buyers.

You’ll be a strong negotiator, exceptional communicator, and influencer at all levels with good commercial acumen. You’ll be comfortable working under pressurized timelines and deadlines and have a proven ability to reduce costs with category management knowledge. You’ll be capable of delivering strategic procurement that extends beyond tactical tenders and be a confident presenter with advanced computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
