Job description

The Original British Motorcycling Company.

At Triumph, we are driven to make the best motorcycles in the world. Building iconic motorcycles that celebrate our past whilst embracing the future - through bold design, original styling, purposeful engineering and a genuine passion for the ride.

We are currently seeking an Engine Management System Calibration Engineer to support the ongoing development of new model ranges and expansion into more emerging markets.

The role offers a broad range of challenges including the further development of Drive-by-Wire systems and traction control, as well as the creation and application of new ideas and strategies to achieve the next and future rounds of emissions legislation.

The Calibration Engineer will be responsible for producing ECU calibrations, emissions test motorcycles, testing vehicle evaporative emissions, collecting logged data of system operation, and evaluating drivability and system functions.

The ideal candidate will have a good overview of how engines work, with a mix of both academic and practical skills. They will also have some basic electrical knowledge, a good ability to analyze data, and the ability to apply a logical approach to calibration changes.

We are also looking for:

  • Well organized, self-motivated, and capable of multitasking.
  • Resilient, flexible, and adaptable; able to take instruction and work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, with clear and concise written and verbal skills.

Candidates will need to have a flexible approach to working hours, as some overseas travel may be required for testing or supplier visits.

It would be highly desirable if candidates have previous experience of working with engine management systems and if they hold a car license and/or bike license.

A variety of competitive benefits are offered, including an enhanced holiday scheme, employee benefits platform, and a favorable life assurance scheme. Motorcycle clothing and accessories are available to purchase at a heavily discounted rate. An iconic place to work; join us for the ride!
